Kamisama no Iutoori[]

Kyouko made her debut in Undokai Games, because she looked so much like her sister, Shun and others even recognized her. After she finished the foot race, Shun ran to ask her, and she explained to Shun that she was Shouko's sister. After learning about the relationship between Shun and her sister, Kyouko expressed her gratitude to Shun and then left. Shun seems to have become more motivated because of Kyouko's appearance.

In the last Undokai game, "Zetsubo Taishi", Kyouko and Shun were placed in different groups, which meant they had to kill each other, but Shun had other plans. After the rest of Kyouko's team were defeated by Shun's team, Shun hoped that Kyouko would hand over the pole of their group to him. At first, Kyouko thought that Shun wanted to show mercy to her because of her sister's relationship. Feeling dissatisfied, she expressed her willingness to die fighting. But Shun then explained that she wanted to save everyone and did not want the tragedy that happened to Shouko to happen again, so Kyouko finally understood Shun's thoughts, she chose to trust and entrusted the pole of her group to Shun.

Then Shun and Amaya began to execute their "god-killing plan", and Kyouko also cheered them loudly. Unfortunately, they ultimately failed and were thrown out of the box. Kyouko could only stand there in despair with the others.

Kamisama no Iutoori Ni[]

Continuing the plot of the first season, Acid Mana then launched the Portrait of Hell, and Kyouko successfully escaped from the killing on the Undokai scene, then entered one of the rooms in the Amanojaku Labyrinth with Kris and Junko, where they also met Akashi and Kokado. After introducing themselves to each other, the room they were in changed. The whole room was filled with a bunch of circular hatches. Then they learned that they must find an accessible hatch within 1 minute or they would die, and a hatch can only enter one person.

After the countdown started, Kris, Junko and Kokado found the hatch that could be entered one after another. A few seconds later, Akashi also found it, but Kyouko was still looking for it in a panic and even cried. Upon seeing this, Akashi decided to save Kyouko. He shouted at Kyouko and urged Kyouko to jump into the hatch he found. Kyouko was stunned at first, then ran resolutely towards Akashi's hatch, and finally jumped in, but Akashi could not find any other hatch that could be entered until the countdown was over. However, the corpses of Kyouko and three others suddenly appeared in front of Akashi. These corpses were covered with holes and spurted out a large amount of blood, which shocked Akashi. In fact, Kyouko and the others were all punished for not truly understanding the rules of Amanojaku Labyrinth.

Trivia[]

  • Kyouko had a great influence on Shun in the first season and was shaped into a important being to Shun. However, she died casually like an unimportant supporting character in the second season, and Shun didn't even express any concern for Kyouko's situation after that.
  • Once someone enters the hatch in the hatch room, several pipes will quickly extend out to block the entrance. It can be inferred from Kyouko's riddled corpse that she and the others died after being penetrated by these pipes.

Etymology[]

  • Hirai means "flat, broad, level, even, peaceful" (平) (hira) and "well, mine shaft, pit" (井) (i).
  • Kyouko means "ring, noisy" (響) (kyou) and "child" (子) (ko).
